Dr. Chang cleared his throat.

“We are spirits having a human experience. We came to this world to learn a lesson. We actually designed the blueprint for this lifetime. Life is hard. It was designed that way so that we can learn the lesson. If you go through the history of mankind, you will notice some common themes. War and Peace. Love and Hatred. Anger, jealousy, fear, anxiety, depression. Although it seems that we have improved in terms of technology, the themes are still the same. So this nuclear war and the birth of robots is similar to the disappearance of Atlantis and the Mayan civilization. We attained the peak of what we can do. This is the end of the so called human race and the beginning of another new chapter of spiritual learning.”

Adrian understood half of what he said. Dr. Chang knew that.

“Adrian, I know this concept is very alien to you. Do not worry. Just remember what I said. You will have a lot of time to understand it. For know, it is time to make a decision.”

“What decision?”

“I was supposed to convert into the robot before I saw you. By that I mean my soul or spirit if you want to call it, will inhabit the robot instead of this human flesh.”

“How do you do that?”

Dr. Chang pointed to a capsule like machine across from them. “It will be simple. I just need to get into that machine, press a button.”

“And the decision?”

“When I saw you earlier, I realized that it is time for me to go. It is your turn for the next cycle of life!” He smiled.
