Amy could not understand what her grandfather was telling her. That was not what the Bible said. There is God. There is Jesus. Jesus is the savior. If we did good, after we died, our soul goes to heaven and stays there eternally with our Heavenly Father. We have one life. We have one soul.

“Grandpa, I really do not understand what you said.” Amy told Dr. Chang.

“I do not blame you Amy. I know this is such a radical and different explanation of life than what you were taught.”

Just when Dr. Chang was about to say more, the door to the lab opened, two men with black mask got it. The taller one grabbed Dr. Chang and the shorter one grabbed Amy. Amy fought. She took a piece of metal from the desk and hit the person on the head. The shorter man winced. He was stronger than Amy. He took the metal away from Amy and slapped her hard on the face. Amy’s head hit the corner of the showcase and passed out.

Just when he was going to drag Amy out, Dr. Chang pulled out his gun from the other side of the room and hit him on the chest. He fell.  The taller man was caught by surprise. Before he could react and grab the gun, Dr. Chang shot him too.

“Amy! Amy!” Dr. Chang went to check her. She had a pulse. She was breathing. She would be fine. Dr. Chang was running out of time. He had to make a decision.

It was the first time for Amy to enter the lab. She was fascinated by the showcase with the robots inside. There were three robots.

“What are these?” Amy asked.

“They were part of my project when I was working in NASA. We called it project RX.”

“Project RX?”

“Yes. We created these robots so that it can be used when we move to Mars.”

“Move to Mars? What do you mean?”

“Amy, we knew back then that this day would come, a nuclear and final world war. The earth as we knew it would be destroyed. Aside from the space stations and the underground world in Mars, we made these robots.”

“And you mentioned conversion earlier, what do you mean?”

“This is not going to be easy to understand. If you do not, it is ok.”

“Grandpa, do not worry. Tell me about it. All these years, you taught me to have an open mind.”

“OK.” Dr. Chang took a deep breath. Amy was raised in a Christian religion. He was not sure how well she would accept what he was about to tell her. “Amy, have you heard of reincarnation?”

“Yes, some friends were talking about it in school.”

“Good. We are all spirits having a human experience in this world. We come to this world different times to learn something. Most of the time, it is love and forgiveness. We travel from lifetime to lifetime as soul group. We designed the blueprint for our next life based on what we wanted to learn. Then we discuss it with the group. The group mates were willing to play different roles so that we can learn our lesson.” Dr. Chang paused and took a sip of water.

ACG88 heard a commotion. Across from the center of CCC, there was a group of robots fighting. One robot was held by two robots, one on each side. The robot in front of it was kicking. The other robots standing around were cheering. No one stopped the fight. Soon, a group of RP showed up and broke the fight. All four were taken to the headquarters.

As soon as the fight stopped, the CCC resumed it’s quiet. However, ACG88’s mind was not quiet. It reminded her of the last day she spent with her grandfather, Dr. Chang.

They were on their way to New York New York Casino when a group of men attacked Dr. Chang. They saw his water bottle. Two men grabbed his arms and the third one was kicking him in his chest. Amy ran towards the third man and used her right arm to grab his neck. The man fell into the ground on his back. Amy used her right elbow to knock him unconscious. The other two men released Dr. Chang and ran.

Dr. Chang fell unto the ground. Amy went to his side.

“Grandpa, are you ok?” Amy asked.

Dr. Chang coughed and spit out some blood. He took a deep breath. There was a sharp pain on his left chest wall.

“I should be ok. Probably just broke a rib.”

“What? Just broke a rib? That is serious grandpa!” Amy said.

Dr. Chang smiled. “All things considered, this is not serious.”

He put his right hand on Amy’s shoulder and got up. “Come on. Let’s go to the lab. We are running out of time.”
